Engine vibrations despite new mounts

I've got a newish to me 2001 4cyl. I replaced the two upper mounts with Hutchinson mounts and the transmission torque rod with the polyurethane mount from GenuineSaab. Things are smoother overall, but there's still plenty vibration. I know the 4cyl 9-5 isn't the smoothest engine, but this is inconsistent and different than the vibrations on another 9-5 I have.
The mounts were shot. Does that mean the rear mount is also likely shot? How can I be sure as that one isn't easy to replace? What are symptoms of a bad rear mount? Is there a way to get in there and see if the mount is bad? What seems to happen is the engine sometimes settles nicely and is smooth while at others finds a harmonic spot and vibrates. The three new mounts are doing the best they can to control things but aren't quite doing enough. It seems to vibrate more on the belt side and is worse with the compressor load on. I plan to preventively replace the tensioner, but I can't imagine that would be causing all this vibration. What about the belt? It's newish, but I'm not sure what brand.
Might removing the top bolt on the upper two mounts and torquing them again help? The engine alignment wasn't dead center on these mounts when I installed them. I couldn't finesse the engine to align.
Could this just be vibration from engine wear?
