Put in a new vacuum line so's I could stand to suck on it and verify the valve diaphragm was not blown. Still, after a good number of "drive cycles" the CEL remained on.
At the Convention I borrowed some Tech 2 time, and a Tech 2 Tech, and he manually reset the code. No further reappearance despite an exuberant trip home. I guess it doesn't reset itself, at least not for me, although vehicle function was normal.
