2005 9-5 wagon, rear window washer repair.
Mine wouldn't spray water. I figured there was a check valve somewhere and sure enough, there was and it was stopped up.
Anyone know why these are used?
Here's how I fixed mine. I removed lift gate cover. After pulling the check valve and hose off. I pushed a steel wire (safety wire thickness, approx .032 in) from the outside center of the wiper arm. The small plastic cover comes off.
I used carb cleaner being careful not to let it run on the car.
The small nozzels (think really small) come out of the plastic cover. They can be cleaned, but will require re-aiming after reinstalling.
Putting the lift gate cover back together was another exercise in patience, but eventually I succeeded and it works.
