I used it on my '08 9-5 because it is even more difficult to access its petcock than it was on my 2000. With the socket on 20-inches of extensions, routed parallel to the sub frame and entering from the wheel well, I was able to open the petcock. Not easy, still a HUGE pain to open the radiator drain.
I plan on installing the MacKay hose set tomorrow on my '08 to eliminate the Coolant By-Pass Valve. My plan of attack for coolant draining is to remove the battery and tray so see if the stories are true that the petcock is easily accessible from above with these out of your way.
