I'm on day 19 of new black 2001 Saab 9-5 SE wagon and enjoying my first Saab very much. So relieved to have said goodbye to the '99 Jeep Grand Cherokee. 3 years of ownership, half the time problems. I have some exterior issues that will be addressed next week for my first service. Upon delivery I found what looks like some small cracks in the paint on both front quarter panels. Perhaps it's glue from the plastic covering the cars are shipped with ? The defects are in the same places on opposite sides of the car. I'm trying not to get too stressed about it just yet. Hopefully the detailer can make it all go away. If not, well, guess I'll cross that bridge later.

Has anyone used the little windshield clip on the driver's side ? I put a parking garage ticket under it last night. "Enjoyed" a rainy, cold Red Sox-Rockies game (Sox won 7-5 - yeah!) and when leaving the garage, went to grab the ticket, but knocked it off the clip and watched it slide down between the dashboard and the windshield. I could see it but couldn't reach it. Didn't ask how much to leave the garage without the ticket as I thought it'd be easy to retrieve. 20 minutes later, no luck. So I tried to pop off the left speaker grill and was surprised how easy it came off. Although it's pretty flush with the dashboard, there's a 1" indentation where the front defroster vent is. I slipped a credit card in that indentation and could pop off the grill and grab the ticket.

Sorry so long. Glad to be in the Network. I'll save my positive (hopefully not negative) opinions about the dealership until next week, after my paint issues are looked into.

Marc
