A couple weeks ago, my indy installed a new PCV in an effort to figure out why I was losing oil at a greater rate than one would expect. It turned out his hunch was right - the old valve was completely inop. On my way home, about 20 miles down the road, the Aero threw a CEL and the check engine light came on.
I didn't have time to go back that night, so I waited a week and took the car back to him. When he pulled the plastic cover to gain access to the PCV, it was obvious (even to me!) that the small hose that connects to the assembly above the PCV via a small red connector had somehow popped off. This hose connector doesn't use a clamp - it just locks in. Maybe it got bumped the wrong way when the new PCV was installed, dunno. Took one second to pop it back on and presto - no more CEL, Tech II showed everything fine.
