I don't know the front pad brand, I only know the rears because of their horrible squealing in reverse after rain or a wash.
I bought the car with 33K miles in February of 2012 and it now has 73K miles. I believe the OEM pads were replaced prior to my purchase but am not 100% certain.
I flushed the brake fluid with new DOT4 last summer.
Thank goodness the little girl was wearing those bright pink boots as those were what caught my attention in my headlights as she darted across the road far too close to my car.
The weather here in Michigan was too warm to justify installing my snow tires yesterday as I had planned. I will be ordering a full set of Mintex semi-metallic pads and installing them with my snows in another couple weeks. I ran Mintex standard (Red Box) pads on my 2000 9-5 for over ten years and they had great stopping power. I switched the fronts to the Akebono Euro Ceramics a few months before selling the car and was disappointed with the decrease in baking performance.
Dust free wheels and silent pads are not worth a child's life.
