I ordered a Walbro brand Fuel Pump Assembly from eEuro. I just received my order and what I got is a Hella box (but correct part number) with a Pierburg branded pump assembly. The label under the Hella label says made in Germany, while the Hella label says Poland. There is a heat-smudged-out imprint on the bottom of the outer plastic bucket. Is this a former SAAB OEM part?

I am not certain what to think. I ordered based upon brand as well as price. I cannot find any references on this BB to Pierburg except for air pump. This assembly will be for preventive maintenance on new-to-me 2005 Arc once our weather warms up - in 3-4 months, so I can send it back if necessary.

Also of note: I ordered Serp belt, tensioner w pulley, and idler pulley as well. The Ina boxed parts both carry Dayco labelling (molded into idler pulley and into die-casting of the tensioner). I have same job to do on 1999 SE, and I ordered Gates idler & tensioner from another vendor just to compare. Construction seems comparable; Gates parts made in Canada.

Any comments appreciated.
