if you ever really load down the car and go for a long trip, you can still sometimes eat tires. I did this a few months back - not super bad, but the car was loaded such that the ride height was low again... 3000 miles of that resulted in inside edge tire wear. Car had been aligned to approx 0 camber by a SAAB specialist about a year prior and ride height adjusted and konis and wagon springs installed (in an arc sedan)... so I was wondering if something was off after the trip... had the alignment checked again once we returned, and unloaded, it was perfectly in spec.
Basically if you load it so it sags, it's like having the ride height off... but we didn't load it any more than we did the c900's and they don't do that... I think the only solution to this is cargo springs... if you never load them heavily for many miles, then I would not worry!
