sounds like a common case of lifter clatter. this is a normal/common cold-start noise complaint for higher mileage engines with hydraulic valve lifters.
OR You might just be over due for an oil service. poor oil quality can exacerbate this symptom.
With that many miles though, its more likely that the valve lifters are just worn out and bleeding off oil pressure overnight. That being the case; its not causing any damage, nor should it have any subsequent effects later.
