After posting that my 08 a/t fill plug hex not a T55, as I start my transmission drain/fill process that I am actually not looking at the fill plug but something else, ALAS the T55 looking right at me. Using a T55 and two wobbler extensions , BHAM that plug is removed. Oh well, it was not my first car mistake and certainly won't be my last. Holy crap the fluid is looking like spent motor oil after 94k ! I also made an attempt t0 measure the fluid level with a piece of balsa wood that ended up breaking in the hole BUT thanks to my handy shop vac it was saved from a drowning in the tranny pan and possibly lodging some where it shouldn't. I ended up putting in about 3.7 quarts after two drains and a broken stick and called it good. Now I have a few extra c notes in my pocket, few burns on my hand from the exhaust manifold and a couple of stains on my drive way. I think I will do a one time drain and fill this summer which I should be able to knock out in about 15 minutes. I don't think my measurement was all that accurate since it registered closer to 1.7" from the top of the case but I measured the drain and filled the same amount.
