Really hard to do what you are doing (buy out of state without inspecting) and know you are getting a good car, or a good value or whatever. The seller has more knowledge than you and knowledge is power. The classic market of lemons (as I think dmzqqq123 or whatever his handle is pointed out a number of threads below)... it's an unbalanced transaction... the only advantage you have is if the seller is not a saab guy and sends you a maintenance history - you can maybe see good and bad to negotiate.
In terms of rust, it's probably not much on your radar if you are from Arizona, but even 2007 can have some. It's now 7 years old. Some mazda 3's here have holes right through them at that age. B Millar points out the biggest weak point on the 9-5, but it is *very* hard to see in a photo unless it is already bad. Mine looked perfect when I bought ours (original paint there, no rust) and 2 years later, I had perforation... and I've annually rust proofed that area (from the day we bought the car)... fortunately it's pretty trivial to repair DIY (if you're not too picky anyway). Maybe rust spreads slower once it starts in Arizona also... You can imagine that bathing it in a sticky thick freeze/thaw concentrated solution of salt/slush for 6 months a year does not help the car's appearance. I frigging hate salt!
The newer 9-5 is a pretty easy car to buy. Just ensure you budget a little extra $$ to make the car right. Something like nav is easy to do later, and probably a modern solution is going to be better than the built in anyway. I wouldn't sweat it! good luck!
