Breeze,

After reviewing the wiring diagram for FUSE 14, I agree with alliassaab's ignition cassette suggestion. A Black with green trace wire from Fuse 14 goes through CONNECTOR H42-5, pin 7, (under hood on firewall), to crimp J24 where it splits to Mass Air Flow sensor (205), pin 3, and to Trionic Control Module (430/589), pin 1. A black with green trace wire from FUSE 14, goes through CONNECTOR H42-5, pin 8 to Ignition Discharge Module (346), pin
10.

Check wiring for short to ground:

1. Disconnect the Mass Air Flow sensor (205), Ignition Discharge Module (346), and Trionic Control Module (430/589).
2. Remove FUSE 14.
3. Turn the ignition key to the run position.
4. The top leg of FUSE 14 socket should measure ignition voltage. The bottom leg should measure 0.0 VDC.
5. Place ohmmeter leads on the bottom leg of FUSE 14 socket and on ground. Infinite resistance confirms the integrity of the wiring.
6. Turn the ignition OFF and refit fuse 14.
7. Reconnect 205, 346, and 430/589 one at a time and turn the ignition to the run position.
8. Replace the component that causes FUSE 14 to blow.

Happy SAABing
