I have a 2003 9-5 Linear (2.3l) with 240,292 miles. I've been updating maintenance items related to the fuel system (fuel pump, feed check-valve, fuel filter and FPR) and wanted to know if the FPR vacuum nipple needs to face down. Currently, the vacuum nipple is positioned facing the drivers side fender, so I wanted to know if this can cause issues.
I do experience warm start issues since those items have been replaced. Cold and hot starts have no issues. Fuel pressure is roughly 41-42 psi when pump first turns on, 38 psi when car is idling. The CPS has also been replaced (Bosch). Fuel pump is Warlbro and fuel filter is Bosch.
Any tips are welcome. I've been visiting this site for years and greatly appreciate all the information everyone has posted. I wouldn't be on the road still without it.
