PCV Hoses for 2005 Arc - and mystery part ?

2005 Arc with 127K miles - installed new PCV hoses.
I installed all new hoses for the PCV system. The one with the white check valve broke in the classic manner and the vent hose to the valve cover had lost one of its 'ear clips' that hold it in place.
The fancy clips for two of the hoses onto the PCV reservoir are a pain - they would be convenient if they were 90 degrees rotated from how they are made. Maybe there is a special tool - my tip is to use an 8" crescent wrench that is not too thick. Dial it down so that it just barely clears the black part of the hose end and compresses the gray buttons, slip it on, and then gently pry the fitting off the reservoir. That worked well for the "white check valve" pipe. The other one I removed from top pushing the gray button underneath with my finger and pushing / prying the other button from above using a rounded wrench end.
And my mystery part -- What is this part and where does it go ? It is listed in eEuroparts site as "SAAB Evacuation Pipe - Genuine SAAB 4752382". I renewed my PCV system hoses without looking at WIS and eEuro diagram on their web site shows the PCV6 parts instead of the 2004 and later PCV system. I think I will return it for credit.
