"Easy enough", but all seems like a lot of hassle to me. Seeing as its prone to fail again someday anyway. Bypass and and forget it. forever.
This is all coming from a guy who has never had use for a car alarm of anysorts. ever. So, there you have it. To repair the alarm or not to. That IS the question.
