At wits end

The last 2 summers, from about June-Sept, 2004 Aero (auto) hesitates and misses at highway speeds - usually around 50-60mph. When going around to pass, it bogs down and bucks, then starts to slowly accelerate instead of that afterburner effect it used to have. Winter and fall is fine, pulls strong and runs smooth. Always starts easy, idles great, no issues whatsoever, but feels like there's a hole in the power in that 50-60mph band. Almost always at highway speeds (wont do it around town, or when using paddle shifters and revving in lower gears).
Turbo gets midway into red and isn't smoking. Got a new DIC a week ago, but noticed today the same issue so assume it's not that (plugs standard NGK gapped properly to .039").
So where do I look? Fuel pump (can't image it's been on the way out for over 2 years), MAF sensor? ECM? CPS (replaced last summer in the hopes that was the problem but no improvement), O2 sensor (replaced last summer), others????????
Want to feel that kick in the back again when I stomp on the gas.
Thanks
Ron
