I have had that same issue happen to me. I accidentally hit the key with my hand, and the car shut off. Loss of all power breaks, steering, etc, . My question is this. Do cars have a protection to not allow a car to turn off while the rpm's are above a certain level ? And..... if it happened to me in my 2002, is this a potential GM issue as previously disclosed ?
