what color are your plugs?

I have a 2003 Aero Wagon with BCPR7ES plugs, 91,000 miles. They are running snow white. I would like to hear from others with similar setups. I am concerned that the system my be running lean. [And it might be running low ignition advance to compensate.]
During WOT, the system is running open-loop? If so, then the AF should not be affected by the state of the O2 sensor, unless it has affected fueling maps that then influence WOT operation.
Some will point to the MAF sensor. I cleaned the MAF 8000 miles ago. MAF should not affect AF ratios as the adaptions are all about keeping target oxygen sensor reading.
I read that as a OS sensor gets weak, the output levels drop which is interpreted as lean, which would make the engine run richer and plugs would be darker.
Any ideas? Is my thinking flawed? So far, I am confused.
