The SE was first offered as a trim upgrade but could be had with the LPT four. By 2001, the SE was the V-6 model with the premium package standard. Ventilated seats were optional in all series (base, SE, Aero)through 2001. There is no SE for '02 as the lineup (in the US, at least) is the Linear, Arc and Aero. Saab seems to shuffle the product mix every year.

Assuming you mean 2001 model year, here are the basic differences:

SE:
V-6 has better low end grunt.
Automaic only.
Five spoke 16" wheels.
Softer ride.

Aero:
HOT turbo faster once turbo kicks in.
Automatic or manual - note that the automatic produced less power in '01 than the manual.
17" wheels.
Lowered/tighter spspension offered better handling.

Other than that, the trim levels were identical for the SE and Aero in 'O1.
