My 2003 Aero SW didn't start last weekend. After checking the DI (I keep a spare) and the fuel pump (it was running), I suspected the CPS. After a quick search here, I was pretty sure I had nailed the culprit since the tach wasn't even jumping while s trying to start the car.
30 minutes of work yesterday, and a $65 part from eEuroparts, we're back in business. (I ordered a fuel pump and filter to have on the shelf for the next time the car won't start, though the fuel pump was changed about 20K ago, based on the thick set of dealer records I got with the car.)
The CPS is an easy item to replace, and its cheap too. I agree with you Jeff! Just change it!
