I drive on lousy NYC roads, and based on various sources, felt that the 16's that come on the Linear are less apt to bending after a pothole hit (also less costly to replace) and give the car a more comfortable ride. The Aero also sits a bit lower, so I felt that the extra clearance on the Linear made it more sensible (I've even already replaced the 'lower valance' on my lpt, so I can only imagine what would have been if I had the Aero). Again, there's no doubt the Aero's a rocket, and they rule the roost on this board -- and quite frankly I wish I had one. But when I've got my wife and two kids in the car, I'm opting for a nice ride, not a rocket. And when I'm driving by myself (I just walked in from a quick 120 mile round trip ride from SI to Long Island) I have sport mode -- which gives my car more than enough power to get a ticket on any US road (doing 95 on the Belt Pkwy in fairly heavy traffic probably feels like doing 120 on the 'bahn). Yeah, there are plenty of cars that will beat me off the line, and plenty that can pass me at high speeds -- but I figure they're just flushing out the speed traps up ahead for me!
Drive them back to back -- and see which one you like -- and again factor in the extra $ -- you can't go wrong either way.
