macgyver heat blend door solution?

I just checked out a nice enough 9-5 wagon that I would buy to drive in the winter months when I park my convertible. The heat only works on the passenger side. I assume this is a blend door problem. Since I would never need to turn the heat off (it is cold here in the winters), is there an easy way to just "jam" the blend door so it will stay in the heat position? I was able to do this years ago on old mercedes that had a broken vacuum driven heater flap. This would not be elegant but functional.
