No smiles here

2005 Aero, suspension very bad. Had car since new. Bangs, slams, clanks, at only 72k. Car wanders all over road, bad experience here in PA. Read archived things here, much controversy-spacers, no spacers, replace springs , don't replace, subframe bushings bad, use 06 bushings, bad shocks, bad struts, bad rear bushings, swaybar links, strut mounts, control arms bad. Seen biased opinions Koni, Bilstein, other, no consensus. Then I read it has cheap Saturn suspension. 3800.00 estimate for repairs. 7 alignments done over years. Not that anyone care, I am handicapped and cant do this DIY like I used to do, no go to dealers so I go to Independent Saab mechanic.
Do I need to get other estimates? Sounds high, but I never had a car where suspension died so early in life, . Car is not worth half that much.
Does anyone know what goes bad first so at least I can fix what it needs to drive the car or find good Independent Mech in Pittsburgh area? Or to scrap. My budget about 1,500.00, maximum.
Thanks;
Gian
