I have the same Saab.
Based on my experience, when the oil pressure light comes on, then you are probably low on oil - for some reason. If the car isn't burning oil, then I think you should look at possible leak sources. The oil pressure switch/sender is a likely culprit. Another possibility is that either the head bolts need retorquing, or if that's been done, there is always the possiblity of the head gasket needing replacement, with new bolts. As a 14 year old car, the Aero will have some seepage anyhow. And yeah, that dipstick thing is just ridiculously difficult to read.
