Hello,
If going with a rebuilt alternator I would go with the Bosch. They seem to be the most reliable.
Often the best alternative is having yours rebuilt by a good alternator shop. The one we use checks it all out replaces the brushes and bearings and also grinds the contact area for the brushes. The copper gets grooved from normal wear and you get much better performance than just replacing the brushes or regulator brush kit.
Also they will usually not touch some of the rebuilds carried by the big parts stores due to the rebuild quality and parts being so poor. Good Luck, Bernie at George Riggin Specialty Automotive
