My daughter drives an '06 9-5 that has the power folding mirror option. Never seen it before so I have no FHE in diagnosing them.
Problem is that they are "possessed". Sometimes they work as designed, i.e. ignition off and both mirrors fold in. At other times they fold forward which would be OK (good for making sure your belt is buckled on exit) except they don't always go back to normal.
Anyone have any knowledge of how these work and whether they can be immobilized or repaired? I've already done the usual battery disconnect routine to no avail. I thought of locating the fuse if it's dedicated and removing it but I suspect the power adjust would disappear as well.
Any insights greatly appreciated.
