I agree with Joe - just pull the fuse and leave the headlight switch turned full right all the time, except for those times when you don't want the DRLs. The lights will turn off when you remove the key. If you have vehicle inspections in Canada to check that the DRLs are functioning, just reinstall the fuse. And remember to turn you lights on all the time so you don't get a ticket.
A Saab switch to disrupt power through fuse 35 would work, but it would be superfluous, and your dealer might wonder what the heck you were trying to accomplish. It would _not_ void your warranty, however - that is a widespread urban myth. A dealer can only decline to fix something if he can prove that your mod directly contributed to the failure.
