I found a web video showing a guy in the UK removing the door panels on a Vauxhall with very similar door pulls to do the same repair. Just like Bernie posted I started on the leading edge of the door pull with a small screwdriver and popped off the handle cover.
The handle screws were so tight that I had to use a long profile 1/4-inch wrench on the hex shaft of my Torx bit driver to loosen them. I re-tightened them the same way.
It appears the adhesive holding the water barrier has changed too. The OG photo and video sets make it appear to be a silicone type adhesive bead that will re-seal to itself. My car had a foamed bead adhesive that would not re-seal. Maybe it was the 25 degree temperature in my garage, maybe it is a different adhesive. Regardless, I used strips of duct tape to secure the water barrier around its perimeter. Just be sure to not cover the holes for the anchoring pins if indeed all the later cars use a adhesive that will not re-seal.
Both rollers were in pieces. Sure glad I bought a pair of them years ago when I was still driving my 2000, and never needed them previously. Another set will be on my next parts order.
There is a plastic rivet on the bottom edge of the door panel that helps secure the map bin in position. No need to remove it to pull the puddle light out of the door panel. I STRONGLY recommend removing this light first. Wow, does it got hot in a hurry. My lamp was only illuminated for 15 seconds or so and I still burned a finger on the bulb.
