That is true! Old rubber hoses will age and blow one at a time.
YOU JUST SET A WORLD RECORD AT CLOSE TO 300K MILES.......So don't touch them. You end up end up with choice #1.
1. Just pull over when one blows and deal with it each time. Get towed and replace just the bad hose.
OR:
2. Carry a set of spare hoses, and replace them one at the side of the road each time one fails. Carry a few tools and some coolant. Most wives don't like this option for cars they are driving.
OR:
3. replace ALL the hoses at the cost of 150.00 for parts and 25 for coolant and your labor and your are good for another 150,000 miles.
Personally I like #3.......I want to drive my old Saab with utter confidence that I am going to get where I am going!!!
