I think the Scribd step by step is probably the best in a photo-by-photo. Make sure to have a hose clamp pliers if possible. You are wise to have fresh sealing rings.
I have (and will again) use the Super Blue sealant to coat the O-rings that seal the connector pipe from pump to block - especially the block side. I experimented with a fancy fluoro-silicone O-ring for the one to the block, but they were just a little too big, and the scissors action of the pipe sliding into the block shredded it. The two pumps I have done with Super blue on the O-rings have been leak free so far. I would use a Viton O-ring, but they don't commonly come in the right size. I did buy Viton O-rings for the seal between the pump and the coolant tube crossing the front of the block - McMaster Carr has them in metric sizes.
Other things - good time to replace the lower and upper radiator hoses (and maybe eliminate the coolant bypass valve).
Good luck! I will be doing this either tomorrow or Saturday on an '06.
