I replace the thermostat in my 2004 2.3L 2004 arc.
The thermostat I removed was stamped MotoRad. I got a replacement from EEuro and it was a MotoRad, 265-88 and on their website as 'original equipment supplier'
It took me about 3 hrs to do the R&R. I had previously drained the antifreeze and did a flush and refilled with water, so I just drained the water to replace the thermostat. Not a hard job but getting the right wrenches and socket length to remove the bolts was a bit timeconsuming. not much room to turn a wrench. Tip: put a towel underneath the thermostat housing...if you accidently drop a bolt you may never find it again.
I got a HEPU water pump. Some ppl have had good luck, some not. We shall see. OEM pump was $130 from Eeuroparts, the Hepu was $63. It seems like a reasonable quality pump...we shall see.
It took me about 5 hrs to replace...lots of plumbing to remove, not to mention the passenger wheel liner. Some of the bolts are hard to get at. After 11 years, the hoses really welded themselves to the joints.
BTW, I bought a clamp wrench....helped a bit- worth the 28 from Adv Auto.
I replaced all the hose clamps with screw tightening bands.....much better
