You cut the hose outside the metal pipe it is pushed on to.
Just grab the razor blade between thumb and long finger and seesaw your way through.
After all the hoses are out, it is real easy the get the pliers on and remove clamps and then split the hose stub with the blade and peel off the rubber. You don't want to force the hose stub off since it can damage things further inside dashboard.
I separate the two new hoses since there is no reason for them to be attached and that makes it easier to install the short one first with some help of silicone grease and then install the longer one.
I clean up the vacuum hoses and remove all not needed and zip tie the solenoid valve the wire harness at firewall.
I guess if you remove the battery and shelf you will probably have enough space in there. Be careful with the plastic pipe for brake booster, it can crack. I usually remove it all together from the booster so that it is out of the way.
