Just somne observations on improving the sound quality via the panel adjustments. Try using the fader control to bias the system more towards the rear (door) speakers. It may initially sound as though you have lost some volume, but simply turn the volume up a bit to compensate, perhaps add some treble as well. The system is very sensitive and you may need to spend a minute or two experimenting with the fader to find just the right position that adds more bass from the door speakers while still maintaining the "sound stage" effect from the dash mounted speakers. I typically leave faders controls in their middle setting but found that this system responds very nicely to rear bias. Yes, the harman kardon system is better, but experiment a bit and you may find you are satisfied with the base system.
