I didn't remove the injector lead. I remember threading the tube through the intake manifold and it was like one of those bar room puzzles made of bent steel rods where you have to thread one part through another.
AS for the connector on the air / oil separator, I used needle nose vise grips in one hand to squeeze the ears on the connector, and a very short pry-bar with screw-driver handle to pry it off. I recall that part worked very well but I had to position my hands just so.
