Coolant hose/bypass valve..Mackay Posted by GFW3pedals [Email] (#405) [Profile/Gallery] (more from GFW3pedals) on Sat, 21 Nov 2015 13:38:19 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
Clouds of steam pouring from under the hood from what I immediately thought was the CBV. It turned out to be the hose from the engine to the single inlet side of the CBV. I'm thinking while I'm in there I should just do the CBV delete job. Can someone who has done this confirm my understanding of exactly how to hook up the Mackay hoses? What were doing is removing the CBV AND the small rats nest of hoses associated with it,correct? The longer hose (the one that failed on my car) attaches to what I'm assuming is one of two fixed pipes coming out of the firewall? Longer hose to top pipe and shorter hose to bottom pipe? or is it left/right? Then remove tee for vacuum hose and replace with solid hose, and retain the electrical valve so-as not to upset things and throw a code? Thanks much in advance.
