I knew I needed to get new tires for my 2008 9-5 Sportcombi soon, but had planned to do that next month. As luck would have it, though, one of the existing tires (235/45/17 Uniroyal Tigerpaws that the previous owner had put on) failed Friday evening so I decided to do some research as I was not too impressed with the Tigerpaws.
Searching on this forum and then reading reviews on Tirerack, while a number of people used the Continental ExtremeContact DWS, I kept seeing comments from people who had various complaints about them. A tire that seemed to get mostly good feedback in that size was the BF Goodrich g-force Comp-2 A/S. I had run mostly Bridgestone high performance all-season tires on my 2000 9-3 and had never run BFG's before, but since I could not wait and found a good local price, I had them installed on Saturday. Limited use so far, obviously, but they seem to handle well, are not too noisy and they are supposed to have good wet traction.
