Saab sells an alloy wheel/snow tire (Gislavad, I think) package in the fall. My dealer told me it is about $900 for the set of 4. From reading past posts here, people love them, so that is what I am planning to buy for my Aero. Size is listed in the back of your manual (I can look it up if you don't have one).

I have the Saab roof bars on my 9000, same arrangement as the 9-5 sedan. I highly recommend them. They fit in the holes under the door gaskets. Made by Thule, specifically for Saab. You can buy generic bars, but they don't look or fit nearly as well. The attachments are made by Thule, you can buy them anywhere. We have bike carriers and a white water kayak carrier. They are very easy to use, and have held up beautifully.
