Thanks for your suggestions. Before buying the new tires, I measured the height at 571 mm. After the spacers and tires, the height is 584 Left and 587 Right. I measured from the rim, resting the tape end on the rim, to the bottom of the fender lip, with the tape passing the wheel center.
I agree that more spacers are needed, but before doing that, I am electing to replace the 155k mile springs with 48k mile springs. Then I will get the alignment checked at Sears. If still bad, I will consider new springs. A Saabnet contributor once suggested wagon springs on a sedan might solve camber and load problems. We just returned from a second annual 5k mile trip. Next year, we plan a 5k trip west and stiffer springs will accommodate more gear, though I suspect the total weight in the trunk is less than two adults in the back seat.
The shims are a last resort. Fixing the camber is much more economical than grinding up tires.
