Redoing the J16 solves the problem. I have been on many threads about this here and on another site. I am amused that there are always people fighting the dissimilar metals corrosion theory.
It is kind of like they find it brutal to take out a nice slice and go back to soldering. Soldering has been a practice for a 100 years or so. Crimping is faster on a production line.
On a Porsche site I have seen long arguments about solder not being good for automotive use and not used in aviation and other arguments....etc...ad nauseum!
I know it is hard the first time you do it......even finding J16 can be stressful! but once you find it....just cut it out and fix it.
