'08 wagon 160k, white.
I bought this car used about 2 years ago, cosmetically it was nearly perfect. In the past 6 months the paint on the hood has started to peel in a major way. It looks awful. The attached picture does not do it justice, it looks much worse in real life.
As far as I know the car was not ever in an accident or ever painted.
Is this a "known problem" with these cars? I've noticed that the same is happening just above the windshield (between windshield and sunroof). I see no evidence of any other paint defects
I'm wondering what options I have at this point.
- used hood, same color.
- paint the hood.
- paint the entire car.
- get rid of car.
Thoughts? It's breaking my heart!
