I'd start by first running a self-calibration (its free and easy) and see if any fault codes come up, which would indicate certain mechanical issues in the system. That's not likely to yield much, because of the speed-related nature of your issue.
The next step would be to do an A/C service. By that I mean have the system evacuated (measuring how much R134A is recovered), vacuum tested for leak and then recharged with the required 875 grams (1.9 lbs) of refrigerant. These systems are very fickle performers when over / under charging, so don't just hook up a can from Autozone and hope for the best, especially if you may be looking for a leak in the system. You'll get a much better assessment by knowing how much was recovered versus the 875 grams, and if there are any leaks of size.
(I have the same model & year you do. I have a small leak in the evaporator and I don't know how worthwhile it is to change it out at this point so I just have a local shop do the recharge every summer.) I have 270K on the car, and need to get another 6 years out of it to break even on the repair versus periodic recharge.
