2000 9-5 2.3t wagon
I can only relate my experience. I replaced the right side boot, not difficult, so re-used the same axle and had no subsequent problem. I didn't disconnect the strut, just pushed aside. Maybe your replacement axle is either incorrect or poorly manufactured. Or needs alignment after strut disconnect? Still have the paperwork, part #, warranty? I don't know about traction control but when my cruise went out, I had no abs light either. It was the outboard brake pedal switch. The inboard one is for the brake lights. I'd think about reinstalling the original axle. I know, easy for me to say!
