I have an '03 Linear (stick) that has a repeated P1181 & P0455 code. They're intermittent. They appear to be associated with the AC. When the car is run with the AC the codes appear. I drove the car for three days in "Econ" mode and no codes. I've cut the vacuum line for the heater bypass valve and plugged it with a screw. The ACC may still be calling for vacuum at the valve and leaking upstream of it. There is no hissing sound from the dash.
There's no loss in drivability when the codes appear either.
A symptom that points to the brake booster however is when I start the car (and it's in reverse) it will roll forward on my pitched driveway unless I really stand on the brake pedal.
It strikes me as odd that the symptom remains dormant when the AC is off.
Any thoughts?
