I have been struggling with a persistent oil leak on my 00 aero. Here is what I did (some related to the leak some "just becasue"
- replaced the oil pump/crankshaft seal.
- replaced the oil pump cover o ring
- replaced the oil presure sensor
- replaced a number of PCV hoses that were spongy
- replaced the oil filler o ring
- dropped pan,
- replaced oil delivery tube o-rings
- replaced oil pickup o-ring
- re-sealed oil pan with anerobic selant.
started the car and still had the damn leak ...
then I noticed that the white check valve that connects the PCV valve cover nipple to the TB was installed backwards! I reversed it and the leak stopped almost imediately.
with that check valve in backwards the crankcase was being pressurized. and forcing oil out all over.
However, there is another much more sinister problem, and I'll post that in another thread.
