Back at it with my 6th saab... Posted by Johnson [Email] (#3237) [Profile/Gallery] (more from Johnson) on Fri, 2 Mar 2018 21:56:57 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
Just picked up my 6th saab, a 2009 9-5 2.3T in white. Has parchment interior, vented sports seats, and is optioned quite well. it only has 51k miles, but it is not perfect.
It has a fault in the tire pressure sensor system, not sure if its just a tire sensor that needs to be replaced or a fault in the system. My preference is to disable this system entirely, is this possible?
It needs new hood struts the PO said he had these on order and will ship them to me, along with the gate for the shifter, which is also broken.
the headlights are in rough shape, one has no light coming out of it, the other one doesn't turn on brights when you hit them, and that plastic is trashed. I may replace the whole housing units. used ones in good shape are not too expensive on ebay, even if I also have to replace the bulbs, new units are $500+ each, used are around $150 + cost of bulbs.
I need some touch up paint for a few scratches.
I need to install blue tooth in one way or another. anybody do this on a 2009? same process as a 2007 (i found instructions for that year). or is it just easier to go with an after market head unit, a nice Double Din with bluetooth and touch screen? I don't want to lose steering wheel controls though. I didn't see a double dinn install.
