What causes need to recalibrate ACC to get heat? Posted by Brianatl [Email] (#1832) [Profile/Gallery] (more from Brianatl) on Sun, 11 Mar 2018 12:49:06 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
I was getting heat at will in driver foot well (2002 9-5) but wife consistently complained of cold feet on passenger side. Checking for codes showed a code 8. Saab shop replaced a lever arm (I think on left side)and "swapped heater hoses" (I presume at heater control valve) as they said they were reversed (even though I was getting heat when wanted, except it seems at right side footwell). It was a warm afternoon so didn't put heat on until next day or so and only got cold air at foorwells. Checking for codes then showed a code 11, and the recalibration caused heat to flow in footwell or out other vents. Over the next cold days I was needing to likewise recalibrate ACC to get heat. Took it back to shop and lever arm on right side was replaced. I verified that no codes showed when I left shop and that heat flowed. Took short trip this morning and after engine was warm put heat on at floor and NO HEAT! Recalibrated ACC and heat began to flow and no codes displayed. Do any fellow Saabnetters know the likely solution to this predicament?
Thanks.
