I too, thought the rain sensing wipers were pretty useless. However, I picked my new Aero up in the rain, and by the time we got home (we went the loooong way, 25 miles), I was totally sold on them. They really work. When I need wipers I turn them on "auto", and they wipe at the appropriate time. Nothing worse than wipers going and going and going, when there isn't anything to wipe, or having to turn them on, and off, and on....
As for the mirror, I have always left my rear view mirror in the daytime position. However, the auto dimming feature is pretty cool.
Now if I could only get my ACC to cooperate.... the ACC in my 9000 is so much better, even after 7 years!
