I don't want ACC, I just want ice cold air, left side

It seems the discussion of malfunctioning heater/AC systems always turns to trying to repair or replace the cheap parts. I've got these parts off, under the dash, trying to manually override the ACC and get the left side to supply cold air like the right side already does - all I wanna do is keep the hot air out of the cabin, as much as I can, and I promise I won't complain about getting too cold. Btw I'm not worried about the Recirc function working for only the first 30 minutes or so - I got that. Once the recirc cycles off, I get beaucoups heat, left side and I'd rather, no heat and all cold.
Any guidance on what pieces part to manually manipulate, under the dash, to supply the driver with all cold air and as little hot air as possible? Are there any links that just talk about doing a triage of the heater box to block the heat?
I'll just drive another car, in winter. Thanks.
