If you are ever at a point where you are looking at last resorts before an expensive rebuild/swap, try Lucas Automatic Transmission Treatment. Remove a measured amount of oil, say one litre and then mix tranny fluid 50/50 with Lucas to thin it down. Then pour in according to the instructions and let that honey do it's work. Takes a few weeks of driving to maximize it's impact. It worked well in my old 9000 until it was ripped from my arms by other issues. RIP.
